Perth Parrots Work to Improve Gender Equality in Scottish Floorball

As part of Perth Parrot’s continuing efforts to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all members of the club, and the wider floorball community, we are pleased to announce that our committee has completed the Fifty/Fifty course.

Fifty/Fifty is an educational course launched in Sweden, created in collaboration with the International Floorball Federation, with the goal of increasing knowledge of, and engagement with, gender equality in the game. As the first club in Scotland to undertake and complete the course, the Perth Parrots are leading the way on ensuring the accessibility of our sport for anyone who wishes to take part.

The course is made up of six lessons and supports clubs embedding gender equality within clubs, club structures, and player and volunteer recruitment. Over 200 floorball clubs across the globe have completed Fifty/Fifty meaning the future of floorball is brighter and more prosperous than ever.
